I recently worked with Vintage Electric on a **major electrical service upgrade**, and I’m extremely pleased with both the execution and the overall outcome.

This was a **highly complex, multi-phase infrastructure project**; well beyond a typical residential scope. The work included upgrading service to a new 200A meter/main assembly, replacing the interior 100A house panel, installing a dedicated 50A RV circuit, adding a 20A branch circuit to a detached bedroom, trenching and installing underground conduit runs, and coordinating with Clay Electric Cooperative for new utility poles and transformer placement.

One contractor declined the project due to its complexity, another was unable to fully scope or complete an accurate estimate, and a third failed to follow through entirely. That experience underscored the level of difficulty involved. Adam (Fore Person/Estimator) demonstrated a strong command of the scope from the outset, ensuring the design aligned with both current needs and future expansion. Randy (Lead Electrician) led the field execution exceptionally well; maintaining clear communication, adapting to field conditions, and ensuring steady progress throughout. He and his assistant worked efficiently and professionally, even in challenging site conditions.

As expected with a project of this scale, there were a few issues encountered. During trenching, the existing internet line was inadvertently cut; however, this was due to the utility locator failing to properly mark the line. Randy immediately acknowledged the issue and apologized, and the situation was handled appropriately. Additionally, coordination delays with Clay Electric extended the overall project duration to just over a week, and one minor punch-list item—the existing ADU outlet box—was not removed as anticipated.

In the context of the overall scope, these were relatively minor and did not materially impact the success of the project.

The installation passed inspection, and the workmanship is solid throughout—from proper conduit routing and grounding to panel organization and circuit integration. The system is now modernized, code-compliant, and positioned to support future electrical demands.
